LAC History Seminar: Our Pan Americanism

 

Mark Petersen is Associate Professor of History at the University of Dallas. He is an alumnus of the Latin American Centre (MPhil in Latin American Studies, 2011). He continued onto a DPhil in History (2014) working with Alan Knight and Jay Sexton.  He is the author of The Southern Cone and the Origins of Pan America, 1888-1933 (Notre Dame University Press, 2022) as well as several chapters and articles on the history of inter-American relations and Chilean foreign policy.  His current projects include digital humanities research on hemispheric periodicals in the Americas and a book project on the international history of Latin America.
